Welcome . . . And thanks for visiting my website.
I am grateful to all those who read my story, especially since it was intended for only a handful of people; Joan's family. By word
of mouth, my story began to circulate beyond family members. Then, e-mails of readers poured in telling me how this little story with
a lifelong message had touched their life. I decided if the book was to go going beyond family, I'd be well served to have a professional
editor and writer take a look. And so, God further blessed this project with the help of my good friend, a great writer and editor,
Candace Carrabus Rice.
With her help, the real process of writing Grace to Carry began, and I realized I had more healing yet
to complete. I'll never forget Candace telling me to "bleed on the page" during editing. It was a brutal journey but paid off in the
end with a story I'm proud to say is changing people's lives. The bond I shared with my best friend, and the process of healing her
death, became the words of Grace to Carry.
